WOCFDCA

The Western Ontario Community Futures Development Corporation Association (WOCFDCA) and its members offer business services & business financing to small & medium-sized startup companies in Southwestern Ontario.

Community Economic Development Partnerships

Niagara Tourism Network

Offers topical monthly information exchanges to encourage synergies and marketing partnership opportunities. These meetings take place in all municipalities of the Niagara Region to promote the region as a whole to better understand our diverse product to ultimately increase guest experience and therefore length of stay.

Cycling Tourism

Venture Niagara has identified an opportunity to enhance Niagara’s cycling infrastructure, networks and assets. With support of the Region of Niagara we will complete an environmental scan of overall cycling assets to establish Niagara as a premier cycling destination for tourists, recreationists and locals alike regardless of age and cycling abilities.

Tourisme Franco-Niagara

Tourisme Franco-Niagara (TFN) is a not-for-profit organization and is a partnership between Venture Niagara Community Futures Development Corporation and CERF-Niagara. TFN’s mandate is to promote Niagara as a destination to French-speaking markets while working with the local tourism industry and francophone community resources.

The Bonjour Campaign

The Bonjour Campaign was developed to promote French speaking service providers in the tourism industry in Niagara. This campaign was rolled out by providing pins, posters, window decals and tent cards to identify a “French Friendly” property or activity which provides some level of service to French speaking markets.

Sports Tourism

Venture Niagara has been at the forefront of developing partnerships in sport tourism in the Niagara region. A partnership with the City of Welland started the development of the Welland Sport Tourism Alliance. Another partnership with Brock University and Heart Niagara was initiated to establish the Niagara Sport Commission. The development of the Niagara Sport Commission’s Sport Tourism committee expanded partnerships between sport events, the tourism industry and destination marketing organizations.
