About Us

Venture Niagara was established in 1985. We are a not-for-profit Community Futures Development Corporation guided by a volunteer Board of Directors. Professional staff carry the out the day-to-day activities to help new business start-ups and existing businesses expand their operations so our community can thrive in today’s economy.

We provide business financing, business advisory services and are active in community economic development projects across the Niagara region.

Funded by the federal government, Venture Niagara is part of a network of more than 60 Community Futures Development Corporations in rural Ontario and 260 across rural Canada.

Our Communities

Venture Niagara supports the local economy by investing in businesses and community economic development projects in the following cities, towns and townships in the Niagara region.

Fort Erie, Grimsby, Lincoln, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Niagara Falls, Pelham, Port Colborne, St. Catharines, Thorold,  Wainfleet, Welland.

Venture Niagara offers repayable financing of up to $250,000. We invest in local companies with term loans and operating lines while being mindful of the risk in order to continue to help grow the local economy. Contact us to learn more.

Advisory Services

Venture Niagara collaborates with partners in the public and private sector to develop and implement projects based on the needs of the community.
